Aldeia De Goa Hill Cutting



22nd Dec 2006:  GBA witnesses blatant hill cutting at this construction site at Bambolim. There was deep excavation activity into the steep hillside as well as felling of trees as close as 20m from the shoreline without CZMA clearances. The Town and Country Planning Department registered a case under Section 17-A of the TCP Act, 1974.

'Black Day'-Taleigao



30th Dec 2006: The GBA observes Black Day at Taleigao demanding immediate scrapping of the Regional Plan 2011. A protest morcha led by the GBA convenor, Dr Oscar Rebello was taken around Taleigao, past the house of the Town and Country Planning Minister, Mr Atanasio Monserrate, with the participants wearing black badges and carrying black flags.

Siridao Violations



5th Jan 2007: Massive hill cutting along the Siridao's coastal belt was stopped by the authorities following protests from the GBA. The directions came after a site inspection was carried out in presence of the GBA by the Additional Collector, North Swapnil Naik and other officials.
