GBA's Apolitical Stand

GBA PRESS RELEASE 7th Feb '07: In view of the ensuing state elections due for Goa, the “Goa Bachao Abhiyan” (GBA) wishes to clarify the following.

The GBA an avowedly apolitical organization reiterates that it will not extend political support to any individual or political party in the State.

The GBA trusts the individual and collective wisdom of the voters to elect meritorious, competent, incorruptible and non communal legislators in these elections.

It hopes that these elected legislators will then put the interests of Goa, above everything else when formulating policies in a democratic and transparent manner.

To this end, the GBA will continue to play its role of a constant watchdog and ensure that “People’s Power” remains supreme in this beloved State of ours.

Also, any future meetings/press briefings organized by the GBA will be strictly those called for by its Convenor in consultation with the GBA Core Committee.
