News ArticlesTCP offences registered in S GoaNT News Service Margao, Feb 6 The South Goa police have registered three cases under Town and Country Planning Act of filling up of low lying areas, hill cutting and blasting. According to the information given by South Goa SP, Mr Shekhar Prabhudessai, the Town and Country Planning department has lodged complaints with the respective police stations and offences as per the rules have been registered. Mr Prabhudessai, who has directed the police to inspect the all the sites, said that one complaint against one Ms Adelia Rego from Nuvem for filling of low lying paddy fields and an offence under the Town And Country Planning Act have been registered. No one has been arrested as yet, said police. Mr Prabhudessai said that one incident of hill cutting has been reported at Nuvem and St Jose de Areal and in these cases too offences have been registered The police also said that blasting had been done by unknown persons and an offence had been registered. He informed said that he has sought detailed reports in all the three cases. Meanwhile, the Cuncolim police today registered a case under the Town and Country Planning Act for illegal hill-cutting at Cuncolim. According to the information available from Cuncolim police, a complaint has been lodged by town and country planning department stating that an unknown person illegally cut a hill on survey numbers 336, 337 and 338 at the Cuncolim Industrial Estate. Police inspector, Mr Siddant Shirodker today visited the place and further investigations are in progress. |
